Tobacco Hogsheads

Around Augusta, Georgia and Edgefield, South Carolina, on the west side lying on the Savannah River, a rivalry began of pelts, hides and other Indian products and especially of tobacco hogsheads. The hogsheads were made much stronger than in later times.
