Boone Hall

Tour Boone Hall Plantation in Charleston

The home of John Boone (1632-1711) and his wife, Elizabeth (Pattey) Boone. John Boone was the grandson of descendant of Henry Boone. In 1670 John Boone came from Barbados with the first fleet of colonists into South Carolina. In 1743, the son of John Boone planted live oak trees. Boone Hall is the only location in the world where the original slave cabins are preserved in their entirety; nine cabins exist, with artifacts.
