The Fruit Hill community was situated 12 miles north of the Edgefield County Court House and on the direct road from Edgefield Court House to Newberry Court House. The lands were naturally productive and yielded one bale of cotton per acre and produced 25 to 40 bushes of corn per acres, and 40 buels of oats.
